Sackville Place

The joint development of this Project has been thoroughly researched with the Council and Agencies.  The design is unusual and impressive.

The Society's opinion of the design is good and our only concern is in relation to access to the site and no doubt the Highways Department will 'sort this out.'

The development will uplift the area and hopefully encourage other upmarket developments and regeneration.

The plans for the development of the area have been turned down by planning officers on the grounds that "the development by reason of scale, bulk, mix of uses and capacity of the site to accommodate the proposed development reliant on a single access point is considered to represent an overdevelopment of the site".  The developers are very disappointed but will continue to work with the Council to try to secure a redevelopment solution for the site.
