Demolition of the existing buildings and the erection of 23 flats in 10 storeys.
The design concept is agreeable but the 2 or 3 top storeys are higher than St Aubyns Terrace to the East and constitute excessive height and overshadowing of the existing listed buildings in the conservation area

The site of this application, to the east of the King Alfred site for a 13 storey building, should be brought to mind when considering applications in this area. Long discussions have been undertaken by the planning officers with the developers but we feel that the tower like building does not sit well with the existing terraces
