Prize Presentation
Hove Civic Society has this year offered to provide a prize for the most outstanding work by a student at the University of Brighton`s Division of the Built Environment.
The winner was Jennifer Maber, who graduated this year, and who was judged to have produced the 'Best Conservation and Design Project' of her Year.
Her entry was entitled 'The impact of improving thermal energy of period buildings' - an important and difficult area, in which conservation and heritage issues have to be balanced against the increasingly urgent need to reduce carbon-footprint through minimised energy consumption.
The prize was presented to Jennifer Maber on 28 July - with well-deserved congratulations - by Hove Civic Society Chairman Ian Crossman.
